Thomas Heyward's softball team's season ended Tuesday with a 5-1 loss to Northwood in the second game of the best-of-three series for SCISA's Class AAA state title.

The Rebels had lost 5-1 to host Northwood on Monday.

Thomas Heyward sophomores Ashlie Layman and Andrea Daring were named to SCISA's North-South all-star game, according to athletics director Philip Rhodes.
The all-state team is expected to be revealed this week.
