I love it when a plan comes together, don't you?
Last week, Jasper County School District Superintendent-elect, Dr. Vashti Washington, captivated an audience of Rotarians and other community leaders at Jasper's Porch restaurant. She was the special guest speaker for Jasper County Rotary Club.
Poised and full of elegant distinction, Dr. Washington knows how to establish true continuity.
She also knows how to develop the right kind of connections. This fearless leader
clearly understands teamwork. Without hesitation she acknowledged the obvious
need for improvement in various areas. However, she readily emphasized the enormous wealth of accomplishments that already exist within our district. Everyone gave a round of well-deserved applauds in celebration of our children's achievement. The spotlight is finally being placed on those who have earned it. In fact, several National Honor Society inductees were honored at Monday's Jasper County School District board meeting.
Dr. Washington desires to give honor where honor is due.
Those in attendance left with a very simple, yet clear message. Two is better than one. It is going to take partnership. Community partnership, parent partnership, my partnership and your partnership.
Teamwork: together everyone achieves more.
