Wilma McGill
Wilma Robison McGill, 88, widow of Robert James McGill, Sr. passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at her home in Ridgeland, SC.
She was born April 29, 1921 in Turbeville, SC to the late Johnny Jones Robison and Aletha Inez Dennis Robison.
She was a retired bookkeeper and previously owned and operated "The Shopping Bag". She was formerly employed by The Piggly Wiggly and Bi-Rite grocery stores. She was a high school graduate; treasurer for the Ridgeland Senior Citizens; a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church; Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Grandmothers' Group.
She is survived by her son, Johnny (Kathy) McGill; daughters, Mary Jane (Kelley) Richardson, Libby Pendrak and Debbie (Mike) Hodge, all of Ridgeland; one brother, Harold J. (Maria) Robison; sixteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert James (Buddy) McGill, Jr. and Douglas McGill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Great Swamp Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
