NEVER SATISFIED

   No one in this county will ever be satisfied with our elected officials.  I feel that Sheriff Jenkins was elected fair and square.  Usually, those that complain are those that don't vote.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Sheriff Jenkins handled this unfortunate incident with Joel O'Quinn correctly by giving it to SLED.  I hope all those involved are doing ok.  There is no man or woman worth shooting over.  There are more fish in the sea.  I will only fight over my children if they are being threatened.  Otherwise, no one is worth going to jail over.  There is always someone in this county that can do your job better than you, so they think.

I did vote and vote when ever I can. I'll give it to the blacks in this county they do get out and vote, where the whites don't. The ones that don't are the ones who complain the most. But I'am complaining and I did vote! And another thing the sheriff didn't win fair and square not when the absent tee votes are counted like they are in Jasper County. They need new people on the Election Board, but will we ever see that happen! No! Like applicant said Jenkins is in for a little while... but hopefully not long.

     I also have voted for over alot of years.  You may be right about the election board.  I have seen over the years , it didn't matter who won there has always been contraversy over the votes.  Even when we had good people in office in the past.  I don't. want to make this a black and white issue.  We need to get past that and go forward.  I know alot of people who did not vote because they didn't like neither candidate  I take pride in my right to vote.  I agree that when you don.t , keep your mouth shut because you had a chance to make a difference.  People have gotten so complacent to voting.  They feel why bother and what good will it do.  If you were to fire the election board tomorrow and bring in an unbiased group , there would still be unsatisfied people.  So is there any use.
