More on I-95 and RPD

This publication offers readers and visitors to their Website opportunities to voice their opinions and air out concerns with blogs and comments. That is not whining. And if someone like me, believes that speed cameras on I-95, or anywhere else, are fundamentality wrong and are only a devious way for a municipality to supplement its coffers, then that is what I think. And that is still what I think. In fact, I hope this effort leads to state legislation that goes even further and prohibits towns from making ANY money from traffic citations. Many states, because of resourceful ways some smaller towns tend to come up with to make money through traffic enforcement, already have laws that prohibit cities from making money from traffic tickets. I will add that I have always believed that the police chief of Ridgeland, with his background and his lack of credentials, would not be appointed as police chief in any other comparable town; a comparable town, mind you, is one of about 2500 residents, with one or two grocery stores, and three to five red lights. He is mostly employed there because, of whom he knows and/or is related to. But you can’t blame him for taking the job. I also think he is primarily a figurehead. The Mayor runs the PD, speaks for the PD and makes the decisions for the chief to carry out. This publication offers readers and visitors to their Website opportunities to voice their opinions and concerns with blogs and comments. That is not whining. It is offering our opinions; like them or not.
