I hope the state legislature puts a permanent end to this deceitful money making scheme the town of Ridgeland wants to deploy on I-95. That is my wish and my opinion. And, Senator Pinckney is right to run in the other direction on this. There is no need for Pinckney to return a call if he doesn’t support the town’s efforts on these speed cameras. Further, for town leaders to mention that he has not returned their calls is a frail attempt to try and embarrass the senator. The Ridgeland precinct voters never support him in his efforts to be elected anyway.  The Ridgeland PD should be patrolling the town; not playing the highway patrol and the DEA on the interstate. It's a good thing that the state lawmakers have some decency and common sense. Talk about too much government; speed cameras are a perfect example. This town just wants to take more of people’s money and spend people’s money in these extremely difficult times. Why not just cut back on expenses, like everyone else?  I’m just saying…
