It doesn't surprise me that Jasper County could be in debt. We all knew it was coming when they decided to build the new schools. I remember very well sitting in the meetings and listening to all of the chatter and complaining about "why" they needed the new buildings to teach out of. The "how" could the people of jasper county expect anyone to remain in the ill conditions of the schools.
