This Senator deserves praise

So there you have it. Our state leaders have decided no to this bad idea. Gov. Mark Sanford has signed a bill that bans traffic citations for speeding "based solely on photographic evidence." The legislation moved ahead with the blessing of Sen. Clementa Pinckney, D-Ridgeland. "I don't want us to be known as the speed-trap capital of I-95," said Pinckney after the June 2 vote.

dead wrong

dead wrong there move on; you got another name you want to try? and what does it matter? These posts not supporting traffic cameras must have really touched a nerve. And I don't care who you are. I won't spend anytime guessing.

More on I-95 and RPD

This publication offers readers and visitors to their Website opportunities to voice their opinions and air out concerns with blogs and comments. That is not whining. And if someone like me, believes that speed cameras on I-95, or anywhere else, are fundamentality wrong and are only a devious way for a municipality to supplement its coffers, then that is what I think. And that is still what I think.

I-95 Traffic cameras

I hope the state legislature puts a permanent end to this deceitful money making scheme the town of Ridgeland wants to deploy on I-95. That is my wish and my opinion. And, Senator Pinckney is right to run in the other direction on this. There is no need for Pinckney to return a call if he doesn’t support the town’s efforts on these speed cameras. Further, for town leaders to mention that he has not returned their calls is a frail attempt to try and embarrass the senator.

Joint Screw Up in MA

I am dumfounded by the reaction of some of my law enforcement colleagues and lay people about the Professor Gates arrest in Cambridge MA

Sheriff's Office

BREAKING NEWS: The sheriff’s office’s problems are the same as Chrysler, General Motors and the now defunct Circuit City Stores to name a few. It is leadership. Not just Sheriff Greg Jenkins, who is a nice guy at his core; or at least he used to be. The leadership is also those who supervise at the sheriff’s office those closest the sheriff that advise him. The sheriff’s office is an expensive piece of the budgetary pie.
